1.0     WELCOME

Welcome to the program for processing orders using conventional advertising and the Internet.  Don’t be discouraged if at first it seems confusing.  Many before you have had to think about it twice before it sank in.  Read the whole plan, think about it, then read it again.  Each time you will get a little more out of it.  You’ll get the whole picture soon enough and be so glad you did.

1.1     Commission Mailing

Commission mailing, known as “Processing Orders” is a well-established approach used by mail-order millionaires who started out on a shoestring budget. Their success proves the value of this method. The fact that you are reading this plan today means you have something in common with previous readers. You desire a second income and want to work from home.

This program involves doing business largely by mail and email, hence the term “Mail Order.” You’ll find that for every person who wants to have a mail-order business, there are 100 who want something simple, easy, and not too demanding.  This “Processing Orders” program fits the description of simple, easy, and it’s certainly not demanding.  There are more than 23 million people out there or about 69,000 potential customers every single day that would like to learn the secrets your are about to be taught.  Those customers are your KEY TO SUCCESS!

1.2     How to Start

Unless you have all the money in the World you want to start on a small scale.  Placing and ad in the classified section of a publication that is listed later can do this. Advertising is the most important aspect of selling information by mail.  Without it, you will not be able to achieve your goal of earning $800 or more per week processing orders.  Obviously, the best kinds of people to target for your ads are those that are going to be interested in what you have to say.  They are the ones that will ask for more information and they are the people you will send your proposition to.

1.3     A Dose of Reality

Because you are selling a specific type of information, you need the right kind of opportunity seekers to mail the information to.  A point to remember, there is no way to hurry this plan.  You will not accomplish everything in one day.  It takes a little time, but when you finally get there you will wonder why you didn’t do this earlier. This business is hard to start because of the patience needed.  But once you reach a plateau, approximately three to four weeks, it will start mushrooming and may get out of control.  Read, study, and follow what is in this manual. Then apply your newfound knowledge.  You learn by doing.  Trial and error is a great way to learn, but why should you have to.  This manual and set of reports included is indeed the most successful at home business.

2.0     BEGINNING YOUR QUEST FOR SUCCESS

If you are a beginner you will need the following items to make your life a little easier: (1) a letter opener, (2) a separate business checking account, (3) return mailing labels, and (4) a rubber stamp of your name and address or self-adhesive return address labels.  These labels can be formatted on your computer and printed with your printer.  You will also need envelopes and CDs if you plan to sell this program in addition to selling the informational reports that come with this manual with this manual.

3.0     ADVERTISING

Now we will get to the heart of this program. Don’t look at the title of this section and think, “I can’t advertise. I don’t know what to say or how to run an ad.”  Don’t worry.  You’re going to learn how to do it.  It’s really not hard and you will find that you know a lot more than you thought you did.  All of us, myself included, are bombarded with advertising 15-20 hours each day.  You’ll begin to see it in a different light.

3.1     Newspaper and Magazine Advertising

Pickup a magazine or newspaper and look over the ads.  Notice all the ads for the same thing.  Why are they there, they must be making money or they wouldn’t be there, right?  Don’t worry about competition in advertising, or that the market will become saturated.  When you advertise you will receive high quality prospects for your offer, people who are interested in what you have to tell them.  Your information is welcomed because your customer is already half sold on the idea before you send them your proposition.  Otherwise they would not have requested the information in the first place!  This is not to say your prospect will buy anything, but if your proposal is geared to what the customer wants, you’ve got the sale.  So make sure you get your ad right and remember the golden rule of advertising: GO WHERE THE COMPETITION GOES AND NO WHERE ELSE!

3.2     Composing Your Ad

Compose your own ad or use one of ours that appeals to a huge market so that the number of inquires will be large.  Send a letter to the people that answer your ad that offers something of value and something they are looking for.  This is the winning formula.

Of course, these few words describe something that is easier said than done. For instance, how do you know where the huge market is?  What do you say in your ad that will attract enough curiosity to answer your ad?  The answer is simple.  Find what others are selling successfully and sell the same thing.  What I am offering you in this package is a proven informational letter and a suggested ad that brings inquires from a huge, hungry market.  When your prospects read the offer of full instructions and software for order processing, they’ll recognize a good bargain and a good percentage will order.

3.3     How and Where To Advertise

So, you want to make money, right?  One sure way is to run one of the following ads in one of the publications listed in the “Finding Your Customers” section of this manual.  Remember, the National Enquirer and the Globe are the workhorses of mail order business advertising.  But the Internet is by far the Grand Champion of the advertising world.

If you prefer to advertise on paper use one of the following ads.  Remember, the ads in newspapers and publications are not FREE, but they do generate a lot of interest. These ads require that you send a brochure or letter back to the customer by regular mail.  The envelopes are self-addressed and stamped when you receive the request for information.  You then have to wait (at least 1 or 2 weeks) to see if the customer is interested.  It’s a slow process, but these types of ads do work.

1)      Earn $$$ Monthly Mailing Circulars from home.  Free supplies, start immediately.  Send stamped addressed envelope to <your business name and address>.

2)      $$$ Immediately Home Typist.  Free supplies.  Rush SASE, <your business name and address>.

3)      STUFF ENVELOPES $$$/THOU SANDS Immediately.  Free Supplies.  Rush SASE, <your business name and address>.

4)      Extra Income. Clipping Articles from Newspapers.  Rush SASE to <your business name and address> for free details.

By using one of these ads, the envelopes will come already addressed and stamped. There is no addressing or postage on your part.  Choose anything you want to advertise and charge any price that you want.  The reports that you are printing are from the ads you have placed.  Print out the article they want and mail it to them.

3.4     Advertising Costs

Each word costs money, so don’t put extra words that are not necessary. Abbreviations count as a word, such as Co., Inc., so if you are going to use an abbreviation, you might as well spell it out.  Letters, such as P.O. Box count as 3 words.  You do not need to use P.O.  Most everyone knows Box 345 actually means P.O. Box 345, City, States, and Zip Codes, in most publications, count only as 2 words.

The following example was placed in the Globe classifieds:

$$$ THOUSANDS IMMEDIATELY PROCESSING ORDERS.  Free supplies.  Rush $4 and a SASE;  Rainbow,Enterprises, Box 797, Orlando, FL 32807.

17 words at $4.00 each = $68.00, plus 4 words in BOLD CAPS at $1.00 each = $4.00, equals $72.00 per month.

This is for a one month ad.  It should make you well over $800.00 profit, but it is rather expensive for the amount of return compared to the cost of the ad.

The ads above are some examples that can be used or create your own advertising as you see fit.  For more profits use the Internet.  There are a lot of free classifieds on the Internet.  Use them to your advantage.  For more on advertising both in publications and the Internet see Section 4.0 entitled, “Finding Your Customers”.

3.5     Keying Your Ads

Once you start branching out into more advertising you will need to key your ads in order to keep track of progress.  Some ads may bring more response than others. One may be “your perfect ad” and no others are needed.  The suggested method is to use a code such as “dept.” or “division” followed by a key number.  Use a different letter for each publication and a different number for each moth.  For instance, “N” could be National Enquirer, “G” could be Globe, and “I” could be Internet.  The months would be as they are numbered. (January = 1, February =2).  So a letter addressed to Your Company, Dept. N2, Anywhere, USA, 12345 would mean it was in response to an ad you placed in the National Enquirer in February.  Using this same technique, but only on the Internet could be done also by using the letter “Y” for Yahoo, “W” for Work-Web, and so on.

3.6     What to Expect

You may expect to receive about 500 replies to your ad if you placed it in a publication with a circulation of two million.  For example, an ad in Popular Science (Money-Making Opportunities section) will bring about 500 envelopes ready to be stuffed with your circulars or letters.  This will return about 15% orders at $30.00 each or 75 orders totaling $2,250.00 over a period of2 weeks. It’s easy to see how just by having your ad in 2 good magazines can bring over $2,000 per month, every month, for as long as you keep advertising.

If you advertise on the Internet expect to receive 50 replies per day with 75% placing orders at $30.00 each or 37 orders totaling $1,110.00 over a period of 4-5 days. As you can see, the Internet is much faster.

Once you are getting orders, you will want to expand your ad into other publications and sites on the Internet.  You’ll probably want to set up a site Web Page. There are several free sites that have easy to follow instructions for setting up your own web page. I highly recommend doing this as soon as you feel comfortable with the program.

4.0     FINDING YOUR CUSTOMERS

The following is a list of some of the best, most profitable ad media in which to place ads.  Write them to get the cost per word rate so you will know the cost of your ad. Remember that advertising never costs… it pays!!

4.1     Classified Advertising

Some to choose from are: The Guardian, Tn-Ads, The Sun, Scarborough Mirror, Income Opportunities, National Mail Order, The Globe Classified, Money-Making Opportunities, and The National Enquirer

4.2     Direct Mailing Lists

You can use mailing lists instead of pulling out inquiries through classified ads to reach potential customers.  You will find this method less expensive, but not necessarily better.  Although some individuals have been able to do better with mailing lists, more have done worse, and in some cases they are useless.  It all takes a little bit of time and patience to get the end result.  You can obtain lists from mail-lists brokers found in your local yellow pages.  Brokers charge $15.00 and up depending on how many names you want.  To this, add the expense of postage for bulk mailings.

4.3     The Internet

This is by far, the best, easiest, and fastest way to make your advertising count.  You should read this section carefully and keep it handy.  It will become the most important tool in making your business a success.

The following are sample ads for you to use when posting classifieds. These ads are meant to help you.  Please note that it is important to be original and creative when posting ads.  Therefore, do not use these ads word-for-word, try to rewrite them into your own words.  I’m sure you will be able to improve them.  Remember to insert your email address when you post them, otherwise you will not get a response.

Remember when placing ads on the Internet, most people only want to see ads that have been placed in the last 7 to 10 days. Update your ads weekly by either editing them or deleting ads that have not brought responses and add new ads.

When you do receive requests for more information, place a copy of your typed list of report titles with a note or letter in the envelope and mail back to the person. Your note or letter should read something like: “Thanks for answering our ad. Enclosed is a list of the reports we sell which are making money for us. We hope you find several titles that interest you and we look forward to receiving your order.  Please let us know if you are looking for a title not listed and we’ll try and locate it for you. Thanks for your business.”  Or if you choose, you may compose your own response.

5.0     BUSINESS NAMES, TAXES, LAWS

The time has come to choose your business name, learn a little about taxes and laws and decide if you want your mail coming to you home.

5.1     Your Business Name

One question you will ask is, “Do I need a license to operate this type of business?” The answer is no.  However, to deposit checks that are made out to your company name, most banks require the business name to be on the account.  You should have your name, then DBA (doing business as) the name of your company, then your company addresses (either your home mailing address or a P.O. Box address).  I do not recommend putting your phone number on the checks.  This is your personal preference.  Choose a name that unique to you or the area in which you live.  Contact your county clerk or local Chamber of Commerce for details.

5.2     Post Office Box Rental

To rent a Post Office box is not expensive and more comfortable for some people. From my experience, September, October, January, February and March are above average for responses. August tends to be average. April, May, June, July and December are below average, and November is ideal.

5.3     Taxes and Laws

By law you must report all your income.  Be sure to take all deductions to which you are entitled.  It is mandatory that you keep accurate records for tax purposes.  Since you are a self-employed business person you will find that you are entitled to many deductions that you otherwise would not be allowed to take.  Some things that you may deduct are advertising expense, postage, printing, supplies and stationary, equipment, and office supplies such as printers, filing cabinets, and calculators.  You may also be entitled to deduct the cost of checking account charges and magazines, which help your business.  Rent, transportation, and other expenses that are proportionally reasonable considering the volume of your business may also be deducted.  Consult a reliable tax preparer for more information.

6.0     CONCLUSION

The time has come.  You will be pleasantly surprised.  This is a proven money making program.  It works!  Laziness is no excuse.  Persistence and a strong desire to succeed will do the job.  Your time is valuable so make the most of it.  Don’t make the mistake of disappointing yourself.  Follow the six easy steps listed below to become a successful Order Processor:

(1)Place ads in the classified sections of a newspaper, other publication, and/or the Internet.

(2)Use any of these reports, or sell the program itself.

(3)Make copies of the material.
